At a duly convened meeting on November 8, 2022, Chief and Council passed a motion to declare a dividend payment to all members of Takla Nation as of that date. 

In accordance with our Finance Policy (10.1) Expenditures over $1,000,000 the guidelines specify a vote of membership be held with no less than 14 days notice.

As the amount exceeds the current authorization level of Chief and Council, a public meeting and vote of membership is required to be held.

This is the official declaration of “Notice of Authorized Expense” special vote for members in attendance on 14 December, 2022 at the Potlach Hall. Votes will be taken at that duly convened meeting.

In accordance with our bylaws, this notice is being delivered prior to 14 days in advance of the vote, and to all Takla members as of 8 November 2022.

Members under 19 years of age will have their funds held in a designated fund until they reach their 19th birthday.

Information and Notice has been shared through social media post you can view here and through a secure membership email list on MailChimp sent out to all members on file on November 15, 2022 at 1:30 pm, has been posted at all locations including Takla Finance Office, Administration Office, TTP, Health Centre, and NWCS.
